"One Six" is from Galveston County and was raised in Dickinson/League City where he attended Clear Creek HS.

At the age of 13, "Mr.16" put down the PS2 controller and picked up a pen and pad.

Shortly after recording his first song other artists gave him the nickname Mr.16 because of his almost addictive behavior when it comes to writing 16 bar verses.
